The week was normal - no unusual things - set the alarm for 8.30 am, snooz it till 9.30, get a missed call from Praju - now no option but to get up and call her, go to office, attend some meetings in which you have to comment on topics which you hardly know, grab a couple of cans of diet coke, refresh gmail/orkut every 10 minutes and leave at 6.00 pm sharp! Oops.. Forgot to mention - do some coding as well!
The weekend was quiet busy. Since past 5 months, we were living in corporate housing provided by microsoft as part of relocation benefits. The apartment was with us till 24th Feb. So we had to move to the new apartment this weekend. The major part of this was current apartment was fully furnished, while the new one is going to be just a set walls arranged perpendicular to each other in such a way as to form 5 blocks - 3 of which are famously known as bedrooms and the others are kitchen and living room - strange names huh..
Anyway.. We hired a truck for shifting the luggage and buying some furniture. Here, for bachelors the common practice is to buy some used furniture from moving-out sale. We found out that Aboda-the company that provides the corporate housing - sells the used furniture from their rental houses. We bought all the major furniture including Sofa, Dining table etc. from Aboda. Anyway, th fun part of this moving was driving a truck. I remember - when I was in IIT, me and Kedar used to discuss over feasibility of driving a truck - he was pretty confident that he could easily drive a truck. I had some other opinion. But now, I agree with Kedar.
The other significant part of this week was - Brahm - my flatmate, bought a brand new BMW328i. He started his car search with 2006 BMW 325i and finally ended up buying a brand new one!
